Working Together
Different professionals,
Fresh Perspectives
Working with familiar faces can create a comfortable environment and build trust. And that’s great – but when you’re trying to solve a challenge, you need something else. You need fresh input, a wildly different perspective and some triggering questions to get the ball rolling.
At the Don’t Studio, we like to team up with different professionals and partners, each bringing along their own expertise, perspective and mindset.
This variety helps us find surprising solutions and keeps our collaboration engaging.
Read more about our valued professionals and partners below. Are you interested in working with us? Drop us a line, we’re always interested in people who bring something new to our table.

Innovation is not about solo genius.
It’s about collective genius.

An All Directions Network
After being active in the creative industry for more than 25 years, we have built a network of professionals in all kind of directions.
From type designers to art directors, lighting designers to sustainable strategists. From developers to actors. From writers to photographers. From city-changers to crowd engagers. We have worked together on wide range of projects, big and small, commercial and social.
There is one important rule we like to follow: always work with people who have a different profession but the same mindset. Or work with people who have a different mindset but are from the same field. Because that – in the conversation between those people – is where the magic of truly creative work happens.
People/Mindset/Professions
Anne
de Bruijn
Second Commander in Chief
Anne is the co-author of all the Don’t Books. She loves to get to the essential information – fast. By asking the right (and sometimes the hard) questions, she knows how to separate sense from nonsense. She also has an almost uncanny capacity to transform complex information into understandable text. And, she makes it seem easy.
Fatma
Simsek-Taskesen
System Connector
Fatma works at the intersection of marketing strategy, brand identity, and organisational dynamics. This means that zooming out, making connections, and revealing patterns are her core skills. She also knows what a company needs to build a compelling brand story.
Gerrit
Heijkoop
Crowd Engager
Gerrit knows how to engage groups and get them moving in the right direction – and talking about the subject at hand. As much as he loves the stage (and the stage loves him), he is also a pragmatic thinker and problem solver.

The School of Systems (founded by Martin Lorenz and Fransiska Parschau) is a learning platform for designers, creatives, and professionals interested in understanding and applying systems thinking in design. SoS offers live courses that combine practical exercises, real-world examples, and opportunities to connect and grow with a creative community.
Vogelfrei
The Anti Academy
Vogelfrei? What is it? It is a place, a space, open for ideas, in the creative Utrecht area. In a world filled with targets, scripts, and flawless presentations, this is a place where you can grow through experience. By failing. By doing. Without certifications, but with the courage to learn.
Wearth
Sustainability Strategists
Wearth help companies of all sort become future-proof – to ensure a future that keeps the earth liveable. Their core philosophy is that sustainability is something every company can do: you just need to know which steps to take. They can help you find out.
Pop-Up City
City Changers
A remarkable agency for urban transformation based in Amsterdam. Pop-up City combines forward-thinking insights on urban planning and design with a strong expertise in branding, content creation, and concept development. And they execute the coolest real-life projects themselves, too.
BIS
Book Publisher
from Amsterdam
For over a decade we have had a close relationship with our publisher. BIS published our books and the game, and they do the same for other independent creatives. We often discuss possible new book or game projects with them (most of them end up on our ToDon’tlist) and sometimes work together on other projects.
