Practical
Information
Great! You are interested in booking a workshop, and you made it to this page. To get the best out of a workshop, please read this practical information. This makes sure that we align on expectations and sets the scene for our preparations together.

Pricing
Our fee depends on the duration of the workshop, group size, preparation time, and travel time.
The average fee for a standard workshop is €850 (excl VAT). This includes:
- 1.5 hrs workshop / ± 10 participants
- 4 hrs preparation (incl. one or two calls to discuss the workshop)
- 2.5 hrs travel time by public transport
- Basic materials (A3 paper and markers).
We offer discounts to creative initiatives and non-profit organizations.
Travel
We travel with public transport as much as possible (we might ask you for a pick up from a train station). Alternatively we use car-sharing. In case of long-distance travel, we prefer trains or other ethical travel options. Online workshops are, of course, also an option.
Set-up
For the presentation of the slides, we will bring an Apple MacBook or iPad with a USB-C connection, and USB-C to HDMI connectors. We can bring A3-paper and markers.
During the workshop, we will divide the participants into groups, who will work together at separate tables. Alternatively, consider conducting the workshop outside of the office environment. This will naturally help participants step out of their comfort zones. We can help you find a cool spot.
During
Who do you get?
Donald Roos and/or Anne de Bruijn will host the workshop. We decide who hosts depending on what’s needed for you and on availability. If the group size requires it, we will bring assistants to support them.
Our background is in the creative industry, and thus our approach will reflect that. We do things a little differently: we are not your regular trainer or keynote speaker. We will not provide your audience with pre-fabricated “how-tos,” but we will offer a way of thinking that sticks in the long term.
What do you get?
In a standard format workshop, we will play Don’t/Do This: a game that challenges the participants to come up with surprising solutions. We alternate this activity with theory, inspiring stories and exercises about making choices: about who you are, what you do, what serves you best and why. In the end, every participant has learned to make choices in a different way than usual: not by adding, but by thoughtfully leaving things out.
Long story short: You will get the ability to think of limitations not as problems but as part of new solutions. In some cases, not doing something might be an effective choice.
Duration of a workshop
Time is relative. The workshop can serve as a 30-minute kick-off to the day with a positive vibe, a 3-hour end-of-the-week team-building activity, or be integrated into a project week at a school or university. We can customise the duration of the workshop to your event.
1.5 hours is a suitable duration for groups of 10 to 20 participants. That’s enough time to dive a bit deeper, but don’t lose attention.
English and/or Dutch
We can teach the workshop in English or Dutch. Please let us know which language you prefer in advance. Any text in our slides is in accessible English.
After
Do you hand out white-papers or a copy of your slides?
No, we don’t. The workshop is focused on the game and the content of the books. We would be happy to offer you the option to order the books and the game to distribute to the participants. We can, of course, offer a discount.
Micro-pop-up store
We can bring our micro-pop-up shop, where participants can purchase the books or game at a discount. During the workshop we will refer to the books. Often participants want to read more after. The micro-pop-up shop also offers a time and place for post-workshop discussions.
